December 24, 201114 yr Last time I was in Thailand it seemed I had to pay a departure tax. I am assuming it still exists and has only gotten more costly. Can anyone tell me what it currently is? Any other helpful information before I head to the airport?
December 25, 201114 yr Yes, JT is right, no more paying at the little machine to get the receipt that they then take, its all included in the ticket finally.
January 1, 201214 yr When? was the last time you were in Thailand, has been included in the ticket for YEARS.
January 1, 201214 yr On your ticket for years??? I have memory of paying departure tax B500 in Nov 2009, still have the ticket. It has been included on your ticket since then. When is Thailand going to go Green like Vietnam, no more losing a departure card to worry about, they trust their computer system. Happy New year

January 1, 201214 yr On your ticket for years??? I have memory of paying departure tax B500 in Nov 2009, still have the ticket. It has been included on your ticket since then. Airport tax so called Passenger Service Charge (PSC) has been collected by airlines for all flights departing from Thailand since Feb 1, 2007. If you were a transit passenger who left the airport you will have been charged the PSC separately. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
January 5, 201214 yr The tax was 500thb, pay at the machine. Than it was put up to 700thb and included with your ticket. It was showen on you ticket (in local money) with all the other taxes. The travell agents were only getting commissions on the actual air fare. So they went crook about collecting for free. Now most of these taxes are included in the basic airfare. My upcomming ticket from Sydney TG "Q" class includes aud$152.80 in taxes but it doesn't show the Thailand Tax. Just general airfare information....................aussiep
January 5, 201214 yr The tax is 700 baht as stated above. Do note though that the AOT in 2011 requested the MOT to approve an increase to 900 baht (or 800 baht PSC & 250 domestic instead of 100) from mid 2012 in order to assist with funding expansion of Swampy and due to increased 'operating costs'. Not sure where this is at. It will happen but perhaps not this year?
February 10, 201214 yr Hi, Just saw this in the Bangkok Post to day Friday 10th February 2012. Passengers using AoT-operated airports will also face a higher passenger service charge (PSC), or airport tax. The PSC for international flights is expected to rise to 800 baht per head from 700 baht currently, while for domestic flights it will rise to 255 baht from 100 baht by mid-2013 if approved by the Civil Aviation Department in April.
February 10, 201214 yr Exactly what i payed last time, yes. 800 THB. Some airlines include it in ticket, other not.
