lazerguy
Hello, Does anybody know how much a tourist visa (short term) costs? I didn't see any information on the website of the Chinese embassy in Bangkok. Thanks. Also how long does it take?
ThaiVisaExpress
If you go yourself they are around 2000 baht we normally pass these onto a travel agent we use.

dorlemon
You can do it by yourself - very easy. The embassy is near a MRT station. After 2 days you can pick up your passport. londoedan
I got a business visa in BKK a couple of months ago. I used a visa agent on Suk 11/1; can't remember the exact price but I think it was 3K for the 4 day service and 4K for the same day service. I was in a hurry and dropped my passport off at 9am and it was back by 5. I was happy. Simon
theblether
Incidentally you can get a same day service, I think the last same day service visa for China I got cost around 2,200 baht, I was surprized at how cheap, easy and efficient it was. I'm in Chiang Mai and I used the local Chinese Consulate walk in service. Edited January 1, 2012 by theblether

Especially, there is no need to involve any agent.
