Bangkok Taxi stolen in North Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- A Bangkok Taxi driver reported the theft of his vehicle at Pattaya Police Station on New Year’s Eve. Khun Songlit aged 50 reported the incident to Police Lieutenant Colonel Poomipat and explained that a Thai Man had rented his taxi and for a price of 2,800 Baht he was told to take the man to Pattaya and return to Bangkok. The taxi arrived at the Potisan Market in North Pattaya and Khun Songlit was asked to deliver an envelope of money to someone at the market. This involved him leaving his vehicle for a time. He decided the passenger was no threat and went to deliver the envelope. However, the name on the envelope was not recognized by anyone in the area. Khun Songlit ran back to his vehicle but it had already gone. Inside the envelope was a Romanian Bank Note with a current exchange value of 4,700 Baht
