You will have to have a set of building plans (blue prints) signed off by a licensed structural engineer and once it is approved by your local Amphur you will pay a 20 Baht fee. Once it it approved and issued it will be good for one year. Extending it is not a problem and will once again only cost you 20 THB and another signature from the structural engineer

As with most things here in Thailand there may be minor difference of where it is issued, some jurisdictions it may be the Amphur, others it may be the Land Office

If you have a local builder they will know exactly where
