I am heading to Penang to get a 60 day tourist visa next week.

How is the embassy there on granting them now, and will they require a bank book, proof of living arrangements, a ticket out of Thailand, etc.?

Information on reasonable hotels and an agent to handle the work so that I will not have to travel to the Embassy twice would be helpful as well.

Anything else relevant will be welcome
