Hi,

The evidence I will be submitting for a fiance visa is a provisional booking form from a registry office. Is that sufffcient?

any other recommendations of evidence that should be submitted to demonstrate intent to marry?

Thanks

Ive just completed the online visa application VAF4A. It states Category: Settlement and Type: Marriage. Is that correct for a fiance visa?

I think you need a 'Marriage Visitor' visa application form. That is if you only want a 6 month visa which she can come to the UK and get married to you. If you want her to come and settle then its a different matter.

RE your orginal question.....My wife got her Marriage Visit visa last year and all we gave as evidence of intent to marry was a provisional booking letter from the registry office so yeah it is sufficent.

Some confusion here, it seems.

Has876, says he is completing VAF4A, so I assume his fiance is applying for settlement.

I am not familiar with the online forms, but on the paper version of VAF4A there is an option for fiance. What options are you being given?

I've applied via Visa4UK website that we are directed to when applying and Ive selected the following options on the scroll down menu:

Type of visa: Settlement

Purpose of application: Settlement

Type of Application: Marriage

It doesn't specifically give you the choice of selecting a 'fiance visa'

when selecting type of application they give you the following options: husband, wife, unmarried partner, marriage, civil partnership etc

Anyway I know I have completed a VAF4A form because its says that on the printed application but im not sure if i selected the right options above as there appears to be different variations of the VAF4A form?

Thanks for your help!

I'm 85% sure its the right one. It should be Fiancé visa with the option to apply for a settlement visa after 6 months....so I'm guessing it is effectively a settlement type visa.
