Written or spoken?

ออฟฟิศ, offit is usually what I hear spoken.

สำนักงาน, sam nak ngaan is usually what I see written.

Agree with the above. Usually I hear สำนักงาน spoken when it is referring to a government office though.

I think that we should point out that there are two common synonyms here: ที่ทำการ (tʰîːˑtʰāmˑkāːn) and ที่ทำงาน (tʰîːˑtʰāmˑŋāːn). Edward referred to the former, but the latter perhaps is more common. As the Royal Institute Dictionary points out, and as several have noted, สำนักงาน (sǎmˑnákˑŋāːn) is used for official titles of offices, such as, "สำนักงานทนายความ" (sǎmˑnákˑŋāːn tʰáˑnāːjˑkʰwāːm) (Law Office).
