Selling My Pickup

Featured Replies

Hi could somone please tell me what I need to do to sell my pickup to another farang. The pickup is in my name and i have the blue book. The buyer is telling me i have to get a letter from immigration, is that true?

Don't think you will need it but the buyer will.

if you are a foreigner, you need a residence certificate from Immigration to buy and sell a vehicle

He's right.

your are right at a very few DLT

most DLT require CoR from buyer only, as they have no need to know where you live when you do not own vehicle any more, and your present adress is already in reg book

however both farang parties need valid permit to stay at day of transfer

He is right as what it comes to official requirements. Also non immigrant visa is needed. I.e. Bangkok did not allow me to sell without one couple of years back.

As Kata said some DLT might do it without if your lucky. Also to be noted that if your car is under financing i.e. actually owned by the finance company then it's different ball game and actually seems to be easier in regards of doc requirements.
