Re-Entered Without Re-Entry Permit

Featured Replies

Hi,

I got my marriage visa extended for another year last month (1900THB) and then went home in europe for Xmas. Returned to BKK in the new year. Upon arrival, Suvarnabhumi immigration told me that I did not have a re-entry permit, so they could not let me in on that visa. Instead, I got the regular tourist 30-day visa.

Can I sort things out in Laksi now whilst on this 30-day visa? Or do I indeed have to leave the country for a visa run?

tnx for your advice!

Your extension is toast, start from scratch I'm afraid :(

You should be able to convert your 30 day visa exemption to a non-immigrant entry at immigration (2 k Baht I believe), then do your marriage extension on that entry (another 1900 Baht plus all the stuff you submitted last time).

It's always wise to get at least a single re-entry permit when you do an extension even if you don't intend travelling, 1000 Baht insurance against the situation in which you now find yourself.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

As said you have to start again beginning with a conversion at immigration.

You aren't the first one and won't be the last one, many of us have made the same mistake, live and learn, cest la vie.
