Hi all just had some friends go to Penang from Phuket to renew Non Im B Visa.

They had all relevant paperwork as far as they new. They were taken straight to Hotel and had there paperwork checked by some guy at the hotel. (Never even Went to Embassy)

They were told that as a couple with there own Company that the company Value needed to be 8million Baht as theres was only 4 they could only apply and receive a 3 month visa.

There were other customers there that tried for a year visa with the same paperwork and still only received a 3 month Visa.

Anyone Advise on this as i am due to go to Penang this week to get my 1 Year Non Im B visa.

Will i have the smae problem?

Is this correct about the Company Value ?

I have already had 1 year Non Im B visa issued from the UK.

Any help and Advice Appreciated.

Penang will only give 1 year if company is capitalized with 8 MBaht / alien.

KL will give you 1 year if you have at least 8 months left validity on your work permit.

As posted above - don't waste your time going to Penang for a One Year Multple Entry Non B - unless your employer has 8 million Capitalisation.

However KL will issue a One year Multi Entry Non B against 2 Million Capitalisation per WP, providing you have at least 8 months validity in your Work Permit (along with al lthe other required paperwork of course).
