Jammin
What's the best way to get to koh phagnan from fishermans village in Samui for a day trip. What all to do? Is there a beach where we can chill or is it all private beaches? Thanks in advance.
samuibeachcomber
to get to koh phagnan either go to mae nam to lomprayha catarmaran terminal, this takes you to tongsala(no beach) 0r go to banrak and take hadrin queen ferry to hadrin beach where full moon parties take place, plenty of shops, cafe's and i nice quiet beach.the ferry takes 45 mins. and costs about 200 baht each way.hope this helps. itishothere
Or the Seatran from the main pier in Bangrak. 8am start and then 4.30pm back. Free pick up from many hotels and transfer to/from the boat.
smokie36
Is the ferry still running from Maenam to Thong Nai Pan?
sketcher
Best way - private speedboat charter see liam at samui boat charter which is in the village. No such thing as a private beach in Thailand. Posted with Thaivisa App http://apps.thaivisa.com
Birdman
#4 no #2 not quiet beach, quite the opposite, Had Rinn that is after 12:00 till night time #9 #9 #Nii~iine, ups KPG is actually not the place you go for a day on a nice beach, it is the place you go to look around in a day or stay on a nice beach at least a few days up to many years. Nice beaches this month and that will change in other months IMHO Tong Nai Pan, Had Khuat, Had Sadeth, Mae Hat and Sri Thanu
angiud
If you want to have a day trip to KPG and stay a few hours to chill on a beach, you could get the Haad Rin Queen boat from Banrak and go from the Haad Rin pier to Leela Beach (Haad Sarikantang), still a wonderful and old style white sand beach with no jetski, noise and still some old hippie ;-) (15 minutes walk or 5 minutes tuk tuk) Leela beach and the Haad Rin pier: Phangan Leela beach by angiud (back in the jungle), on Flickr

angiud
Besides Haad Rin, any other places I should check out while at Koh PAngnan? In one day? You could take a taxi boat fron the Haad Rin pier and go to Haad Yuan and HaadTien, 15 minutes boat and 2 more beautiful beaches. Don't forget, also the main Haad Rin beanch (East side), although a bit wavy now, is a beautiful beach.

khunPer
Besides Haad Rin, any other places I should check out while at Koh PAngnan? If you are looking for a good beach and the adventure of tropical fish, you may try Lomprayah to Koh Nanguan (northern tip of Koh Tao). Departs (Maenam) 8 am and returns about 4.30 pm. Trip include lunch buffet (excellent) and snorkling equipment. Lomparyah has a free pick-up/return bus service from/to your hotel/bungalow. Price between 1500 and 2000 baht, depending on special offers.
