January 26, 201214 yr Hello there. Im new on here and im not sure if i started topic on a proper way, please be gentle I have question about what type of visa i need to do a music course in Thai. I am interested in doing Music Production course in Bkk...on SAE music institute. The course i want to go is 2-3 months long and i dont have any plans to stay longer after i finish it. I was wondering for what type of visa i need to apply because it is not like few years study or school. It is just a course for international students, 2-3 months long. And what kind of paperwork i need for that. Also...if anyone know what is the best and cheapest way to arrange my accomodation for 2-3 months... Ive been in Bkk as tourist 2 years ago. Thank you so much for any info you can provide me Cheers from Croatia. ian Edited January 26, 201214 yr by ianCroatia
January 26, 201214 yr If you can get paperwork from school a non immigrant ED visa should be issued for a 90 day stay. But you can study a short course on any entry so tourist visas could be used. For stay likely make reservations at an inexpensive guest house and if that too expensive look for something once here. I suspect doing in person will find better/cheaper than trying to find online as internet is not much used yet for other than more expensive items.
January 26, 201214 yr Author Hi lopburi3. Thank you on fast reply. So you think 2-3 months short course could be done with tourist visa? that is not illegal? just wondering. And about accomodation..i was thinking the same..i will probably find something once i arrive Thank you
January 26, 201214 yr Nothing illegal about it - many tourist take courses as part of there stay here. But if you can arrange the school they may be able to send paperwork to obtain the ED visa which would be one expense and should be cheaper for a 90 day stay.
January 26, 201214 yr Author Im pretty much sure school can provide me all paperwork i need. I am paying pretty much money for the course so it should not be the problem. Thank you so much on your tips and help. Cheers Ian
January 26, 201214 yr Author Im sorry...just one more question...am i able to rent apartment on tourist or ED visa? like any other apartment rent here in europe? Thanks
January 26, 201214 yr Non immigrant ED should not be a problem and even tourist visa would likely be accepted for a short term rental such as you are thinking about.
January 26, 201214 yr Ask your school for info on places to stay. Since it's a course for international students, they may have experience about rentals.
