Hi everyone

can anyone tell me when they will issue the visa if my wife was successful on her interview? she has her interview on the 26th can she get her visa on the day of the interview? do they usually tell her if it was sucessful after the the interview or do they tell her after a few days,months or maybe a year

Which embassy are you dealing with and what visa have you applied for?

Tourist visas are often issued on the same day.

For permanent visas the interviewer is usually a Thai national. They assess the candidate and make recommendations to their superiors

Quite often the superiors will request further documentation/information from the applicants before a final decision is made.

Unfortunately this takes various amounts of time.

if so it will be issued on the same day.

if it is a settlement visa ,it also can be issued on the same day.

my wife had her settlement visa interview at 1.30 and got her passport back with her visa at 3.30 same day.

Depends which country you are applying for.

If the UK she will be interviewed by a British ECO, with a Thai interpreter if necessary. If successful she will be asked to come back later that day, or more usually the next, to collect the visa.
