Featured Replies

Hi all,

I cant find or see any fuchias here in LOS, do they not sell / grow them ? , PUZZLING

any body know the anwser, I thought the growing conditions out here would be ideal, as long there watered well

if you're in Chiangmai, go to Bhubing Palace. Extensive beds of fuchsia to be found around the main house.

Thyey can certainly be found up here in the garden centres and some parks, though i haven't seen many in private gardens. Cool up here in winter in Chiangrai?

Problem is i live in Pattaya, never seen them here, any ideas, hardy fuchias can basically live anywhere, no problem there, semi hardy would thrive out here im sure

I wondered the same thing.

Perhaps the humidity would make them v vulnerable to all sorts of pests and problems?

I don't know - I just wondered.

Many plants need the cooler night temperatures... that's why you'll find them in the higher elevations or areas in the north of Thailand, or even in places like Cameron Highlands or Sabah which have higher elevations / locations in Malaysia....

It's got to drop below 15c at night or there about's ... for many things like fuchsias, geraniums, etc to do well... ohmy.png Sad but true!

Lots of Fuchias on top of Doi Intanon, some rhododendrons too.
