Help With A Slogan/Phrase

Featured Replies

So I've been doing my best to learn Thai over the last few months, but I need some help with this little quote/proverb/phrase that I came up with.

The English version would be "Finding comfort in discomfort," but I want to play on the Thai word sabai and the whole culture behind it; it being used as comfort and in "tam sabai" and in just general "I'm-fine"-sabai. So the phrase would span several meanings — feeling comfortable in discomfort, feeling okay/fine and not distressed in hard situations, etc. That kind of thing. And in a nice short, snippy package.

It seems simple but it's something I've been making a conscious effort to integrate into my life, and holds quite a bit of importance.

Something I've kind of created, though have no idea how plausible/understandable it is, is (in my best phonetics)

Yoo kwahm mai sabai, pen sabai.

I kind of stole the phrasing off "yoo yen, pen sook," but I was hoping for something short and meaningful.

Please tell me what an awful ridiculous job I'm doing and feel free to help me come up with something.

Thanks!

Doesn't really translate into Thai very well... I guess a lot of people will go "uh!!??"

My idea;

มีความสบายในเวลาความยากลำบาก
