i know that moo means vilage

nakhon sawan is the province.

kao lia would be the district

hua dong...town?...in that case what 8 means?

34 moo...number of village?

As Thai mailing addresses appear, the first number reads as the house address of the individual building/property - the second number respresents the villiage number.

No, you got it wrong.

Moo 8 refers to the moobahn (village) number and provides the location that the plot of land is on.

34 is the plot of land.

So you are plot number 34 in Moo 8 (village number 8).

Best of luck finding the house as the numbers are all over the place. First come first served when allocated.

Even the postie delivers by the surname on the house owners address plate and lets them hand the letters on to the correct relative.

Yes you maybe right in some cases, 34 is what he said and if 3/4 could be confusing, our land No.4 so there's 4, 4/1, 4/2, 4/3, 4/4, & also 636.
