2012 Ktm Duke 200

Featured Replies

I suppose that if you don't manufacture here you might as well rack up the prices some more - after all you will have only very few customers, but most of those will be of the "I don't care what it costs" kind.

In this new Thailand where more and more bikes are getting produced locally, competing on price with imports is basically impossible (unless there's a FTA like with Japan). So you go for the rich kids and the enthusiasts, and milk them for all it's worth.

I am still really confused about the relationship with India - I thought there was a FTA but I guess it somehow doesn't apply to the 200 Duke. I am noticing the odd Tata car on the road, but maybe those are manufactured somewhere in ASEAN? They've got to be cheap, given they really don't have anything else going for them ;)
