I managed to get 0.00 bht + tax etc. seat BKK-KUL-BKK not exactly the dates i wanted, but did get it with persistence.

When i went back in for the 3rd or 4th attempt the lunch time rtn flight at 0.00bht fare had gone, so had to book 9 a.m. :-( but hey, its cheap as chips!

Obviously they only sprinkle a few freebies into each flight and once they're gone, they're gone.

I'd guess that by now you will do well to find one.

It lookslike that have added some additional free seets since the promotion started. When I first tried to book it was impossable to yet free tickets for both outward and return leg but was possible when I tried ago.

Anyway I have now booked two trips

KL-Bali-KL-Langkawi and then Penang to Bangkok

and

Bangkok-Kota Kinabalu-Clark-KL

both free on all legs

Well I have been on AA site and booked a visa run return trip to singapore, and a pair of one way tickets from Chinag Mai, on the $0 fare deal. So the return proposition above is not true.

Sorry, i read it wrong.

Presumably the 2 one way tickets were for the CM-BKK-CM legs were they?............if so strange how you can't book a return ticket CM-BKK-CM.

:o

I didn't book a return CM-BKK ticket because they didn't offer any $0 fares on the outward leg.

However , i have just tried to book a return for two to Phuket at $0 deal and along with the other times had loads of broken links having to start again numerous times, and in the end when approving my card, it came up with 'Server busy your card is in a queue for approval you may get an itinary in your email soon'!!!!! or words to that effect.

The booking should be OK, provided your credit card is OK. I had this once too. If you look up your booking on the website, it will say "unconfirmed" until the CC payment has been done, then it says "confirmed". You might not get an email though, so just have a look on the website twice a day or so.

Air Asia have suspended the facility of looking up your booking 'in this busy period' therefore you cannot look up you booking, and Thai flyer how much it cost you to phone Malaysia?, In UK they would have you phone some premium number, then have you hanging on for 10 minutes, and charge you 500 bht for the priviledge. I am not going to risk some 500 bht phone call, the fact is it is all a potential con and if it isn't now ....watch out it will be soon!!

I booked 14 tickets for ZERO with them the past few days, some international flights ex-BKK (to Hanoi, Solo, KUL and BKI) and some local flights, most of them within INDO (the domestic flights were 3,53 Euro INCLUDING all taxes.... finally I will be able to see LAKE TOBA in Sumatera and many other nice places there).

if you get tickets for free, you actually cannot complain, but one thing for sure:

Air Asia has DETERIORATED a lot during the past 12 months.

I know them since the very beginnings when they started around 4 years ago or so. they are growing rapidly now, but their organisation doesnt grow the same way.

it is almost impossible to reach the hotline in Malaysia (unless u r willing to wait for hours), the delays are becoming notorious, now not only for the THAI AIR ASIA (they had delays from the very first moment of their operation) but for the Malaysian Air Asia as well, and they are now VERY STRICT when i comes to luggage allowance, at least at KLIA.

I had about 40 flights with air asia before, always had about 17-19 KG, and never had any problems. now I had 17 KG flying from KLIA to BKK and they charged me for the 2 extra KG ! I had to pay 2 x 14 RM = 28 RM..... thats really ridiculous (which I told them in a harsh way....ermmmm.....didnt help of course :o ).

Seems like Mister Fernandez gives you the free seats to appear as a Samaritan, and then sucks the money out of your other pocket.....

well, its still okay to fly for cheap, but they are getting nasty more and more these days.....
