raro
3 lessons learned .....don`t walk up dark alleys....don`t talk to ladies of the second category.....and never carry your wallet in your back pocket <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ...as you mention it...yes...3 lessons. I was actually surprised how easy it was to rip off the whole pocket.
meadish_sweetball
3 vs 1 - odds aren't in the lads favour and knowing scandanavian lads - he probably was legless. This combination easy pickings - moral of the story use some common sense. Unlike Brits, who are never more than moderately intoxicated, and always polite... now if it wasnt for the smell... toyicebear
This is not a new storie in any way, well maybe the cathoy angle, but this is a common occurance at most of the turist infested hot spots around the world...... And before someone asks/comments ..... most police forces situated in such tourist hot spots, regardless of country, have a rather layed back response to such incidents. So don't hold your breath waiting for any arrests..... ;-)

If I am out for a big session, I carry nothing but that nights budget and a photocopy of passpost.

This is of course my opinion but i have been never robbed (tryed twice) and until now it´s 2 FIN - 0 THAI and i will try to keep it in that way Of course my advise as an professional is that give peacefully what you have, and try to get hel_l out of the situtation. Anyhow, i will try to do my best that those katoye´s think twice next time when thinking to rib off some innocent falang ( i dont give a shit is the farang, german, british, swedish, or what native) Also i wish the very best to all tourist and expat´s in the thailand (if someone seriously are thinking that thai´s give a shit about us) Edited December 13, 2005 by K9FIN
