not5150
I know this is a long shot, but is there any place in Thailand that has SUN Sparc hardware for sale? I'm looking for a SUN blade to run some legacy SPARC application (yeah, freakin dinosaur code)
phazey
Would it run on Solaris for Intel ? I've not seen any sparc stuff in Thailand at all, but I am also interested in this. Does the source code exist to be cross compiled ? I doubt you'll get a blade, but maybe an old sparcstation is on ebay... If it's any help, I've seen third party sparcs in Asia. http://www.oracle.com/us/products/servers-storage/solaris/solaris11/overview/index.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSolaris
bangkokburning
I could swear I have seen some sort of Sun products in the bowels of Pantip. Servers or workstations??? I recall thinking WOW ..SUN!
not5150
Would it run on Solaris for Intel ? The app I have must run on a SPARC cpu... apparently won't run on an cpu emulator either.
bangkokburning
Maybe you can get it loaded somewhere else and telnet/citrix to it?? Tough for maintenence though if you are actually working on the prog. Did you have a look up there?
innerspace
Not completely hopeful but speak to thaiineternetwork (google it). They are the best local online shop I have found for networking/server stuff. Not seen second hand stuff on there but they could know people that do. Not sure if they speak much English, Ive always had the staff call.
