Cobra Gold 2012 military demonstration at the Sattahip Navy Base

SATTAHIP:--The 2012 Cobra Gold Military Exercise is underway around Thailand. Cobra Gold is a joint US-Thai annual multinational combat readiness exercise which includes involvement by military personnel from Singapore, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea and Malaysia.

Cobra Gold is the largest exercise of its kind in South-East Asia with over 10,000 troops set to take part in Cobra Gold which concludes on 17th February.

On Friday at Had Yao Beach located within the confines of the Sattahip Navy Base, a demonstration of skills learnt so-far, since the exercise began on 7th February, took place under the watchful eye of Admiral Yutana, Deputy Commissioner of the Royal Thai Navy and Lieutenant General Kenneth J. Glueck, Jr, Commanding General, III Marine Expeditionary Force; and Commander, Marine Corps Bases Japan.
