February 12, 201214 yr This would appear to be a commemorative medal with King Mongkut's image on one side and a reference to พระจอมเกล้า ... "... university" ??? Can anyone make out enough of the inscription to further identify the commemorative occasion or otherwise say anything about it or all the numbers below his image? Thanks in advance.
February 12, 201214 yr It just says "Pra Mongkutklao Ratchakarn Thee See", ie, King Mongkut, Rama IV.
February 12, 201214 yr Author It just says "Pra Mongkutklao Ratchakarn Thee See", ie, King Mongkut, Rama IV. Thanks. I thought there was more to it than that. On the back it looks like "สอง อัฐ ไพ" ?? OK. I think I figured out that 2 atts (=1/8 fuang) were the same as one pai (=1/4 fuang). Still somewhat odd since I don't think this was a "coin of the realm" during his reign, but then I could be wrong. Edited February 12, 201214 yr by Suradit69
