RANONG KICKED OFF A CAMPAIGN TO FIGHT AGAINST DRUGS IN HONOUR OF HM THE KING'S BIRTHDAY

Ranong province organized a campaign against drugs, on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday, with an aim to eradicate drugs from the province.

Deputy Ranong governor Boonsong Techamaneesatit (บุญส่ง เตชะมณีสถิตย์) revealed that the provincial administration and the Center combating drugs in Ranong organized a campaign against drugs on the occasion of His Majesty the King’s birthday. He said that yesterday there was a gathering of the public pledging not to get involved with drugs, as well as raids on houses suspected of involvement with drugs in all villages. He said that the activities were a tribute to the King and to promote public participation in drug-eradication efforts.

Ranong provincial administration has also nominated a committee to monitor every village and community for drug-related activities. It also invites the people to pay their loyalty to the King by campaigning against drugs.

The public raiding houses? Were the 'raiders' TRT supporters, and the suspects incidentally critical of the gov, as well as being involved with drugs? :o

Mmmmm if I am not mistaken, Ranong is not Thai Rak Thai but it is Democrat territory.......seems you are going off on a political tangent regarding an event celebrating the King of Thailands birthday

Ranong is situated close to the Burmese border and a lot of trafficking is done there, so this was an honourable and worthy attempt, in the name of the King, to clean up the town and surrounding villages
