Jai Dee Posted December 8, 2005 Share Posted December 8, 2005 DRUG RAID YIELDED AS MUCH AS 205 KILOS OF MARAJUANA A drug raid in Khon-kaen province yielded as much as 205 kilograms of marajuana. 47-year-old Jingteng THANARAKWALEE (จิ้งเท่ง ธนารักษ์วลี) was arrested in Khonkaen for smuggling marajuana. He had planned to deliver the drugs to a major dealer in Nonthaburi province. Police were informed by sources of the delivery, and promptly set up interception points. When the target vehicle approached, police hailed the driver to stop and conducted search, finding 205 sticks of marajuana weighing 1 kilogram each in the car. The driver confessed that he had received the marajuana from Laos and was on his way to make delivery in Nonthaburi. Police plan to have the apprehended man travel to his destination to make the delivery, so as to also arrest the dealer waiting for the goods. The man will then be sent for prosecution.
