Checking ( as I have been lately ) for flights. I have often seen savings of 8-10 % by using the option to search + or - 3 days either side of the requested date on many sites.

So, look for the option. It might save you money

Excellent recommendation. I've seen savings of more than that, especially if the day you pick happens to be a full flight.

Some sites also let you look at the entire month for lower fares.
