ignis Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 (edited) No firm price.........Old Thai friend owner of a Mazda Dealership down south said it will undercut the Ford, The present Ford Escape starts at 1,090k,,,,, The CX5 is built on the Mazda 3 chassis with their own new SkyActiv engine ....... On the same lines/looks the CX3 will be built on the Mazda 2 chassis but not expected in Thailand until late 2015 Another option will be the Subaru XV expected later this year or early next with the 1.6 turbo engine [only option in Thailand] around the same price........ so will well undercut the price of the CRV Also more CX5 / Subaru XV looks will be the all new Nissan X-Trail next year [present Nissan X-Trail starts at just over 1 million] Nest year should be good for anyone wanting a 4x4 looks without paying Honda prices Edited March 31, 2012 by ignis Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I heard the skyactiv engine is very efficient. Is that petrol or diesel? Turbo or not? Basically I want a raised (to negotiate flooded bkk roads) fuel efficient vehicle with a fair amount of room, but don't need a seven seater.
