That's seems to be a wee bit un-reasonable, man.

BTW my copy of the COD 8th ed., printed 1992 has 'jilt' (abrupt rejection or abandon), is 'jiltee' related to that? If so, I'm not sure what I can say to console you, even being a genuine Dutch uncle ohmy.png

Have they found it yet? It's almost 1730 hr... unsure.png

Maybe there will be an announcement when PM Yingluck has returned from her fieldtrip and been able to clean up a wee bit. Tomorrow during her weekly 'Saturday with the people' broadcast. I hope that's OK with you wink.png

Oh dear, I guess so... sad.png

From the topic "Locals sidelined during PM Yingluck visit"

#1:

"Another reporter asked when the amount of compensation to be paid to those who own land in areas to be designated watercatchment areas would be announced. Yingluck said the government first needed to talk with these people to create "understanding"."

#2:

"Yingluck said 1.5million rai had been set for use as watercatchment areas and it should store some 4.9 billion cubic metres of water. She added that the government would be able to mark out a total of 2million rai for this purpose by the end of this month."

Let's continue there:

Jilted implies she was only engaged and not full married.

It rarely if ever refers to a couple not in the process of marriage, or married.

She was dumped, so maybe the dumpee or being female the dumpette. ;)

Very gallant of you to avoid the term dumpster

The "Water Mismanagement" during the last year's floods valued about 10-12 billion cubic meters. They have to know that 2million rai additional area for flood storage alone is not sufficient no ensure the flood of the size as big as the last year can be regulated safely. The dams operational strategy particularly when dealing with raising water levels have to be improved. This is the part that the dam operations last year was badly done.

After the 1,000 motorboat scheme, tunnel scheme(s), EM ball scheme, floodwall scheme, etc. it's very obvious to the world that they don't know anything.

The som-tam lady, fount of all wisdom on most things connected to Thai culture, informs me that Science Minister Plodprasop has an exciting new plan, to park a thousand helicopters on the ground under the rain-clouds, and run their rotors for three months continuously.

The excess-rains will thus be blown back into the skies, and pass on to fall on the adjacent countries, instead of causing problems for PM-Yingluck's government here in Thailand.

One can only stand in-awe of his complete-understanding of all the sciences, as one munches on the exotic-meats buffet, and hope that the Cabinet give him the ten-squillion-Baht budget he has requested, to implement his cunning-plan ! ohmy.pnglaugh.png

Is this the same guy?

The Forestry Department will drill open a cave which supposedly holds a World War II treasure trove left by the retreating Japanese army. Co-operation has been offered by Plodprasop Suraswadi, the department chief, despite his earlier reluctance to assist the treasure hunt led by Senator Chaowarin Latthasaksiri. Mr Plodprasop said heavy machinery would be used to drill and remove an estimated 2,000 tonnes of stone and boulders blocking Lijia cave in Kanchanaburi's Khao Laem National Park.

Nice one.

Would have been more credible if he said they were finding out how much water would fit in the cave.

Another impressive guy, indeed
