You can find such statistics with a quick and easy Google search. They do confirm Thailand is in the bottom third and hence quite low on crime. I doubt Pattaya is worse than London as an example. -

This trip sounds more like the PM is becoming a tourist rather than going there to promote Thai tourism. I am curious her choices as to why she feels she can do a better job at promoting tourism when there is a whole ministry in the government to do this. I also question her choices of locations. Monaco? really? It is the smallest country in the world with only 38,000 people living there. She could get the whole country to come visit Thailand and it would not make a dent in tourism income.. -
