Can Obtain Thai Tourist Visa In Siem Reap

Featured Replies

Hello,

Anyone know if I can for sure obtain a thai tourist visa in Siem Reap, or must I go to Phenom Phen. Also how much ? Thank you.

You have to go to PP, cost is 1,000 baht (in local valuta)

some travel agents in PoiPet and/or Siam Reap have connection in Phnom Penh and can send passport to Royal Thai Embassy.

The Thai Single Entry Tourist Visa official cost is USD40.- plus agent or other fees.

Best is to go direct to Phnom Penh.

Was it possible to obtain this Thai visa from Siem Reap?

You cannot get a visa there, but there might be visa agents who will take care of the paperwork and send your passport to the Thai embassy for you. Not sure on current situation.

Most people go to Laos, as in Laos you apply day 1 and get back day 2. Cambodia takes 4 days to issue.

In Laos you can also get a 2 entry visa verses single entry in PP.

I agree, in the past in Laos I went to Savannakhet and Vientiane and you drop off your paperwork in the morning and the next day you pick up the visa in the afternoon. The downside, you spend a day bored in Laos after you drop off your paperwork.
