Just been applying for my first annual extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national, so I'm posting here Immigrations requirements incase it is useful to someone. Also as a reference that I can find when I have to go through exactly the same process of submitting rafts of the same paperwork every year, year after year, repeatidly re-proving to the Thai authorities that I am STILL in a genuine married relationship (fingers crossed ;-)

1. Application forms (x2) T.M. 7, each with an original photograph size 4x6 cm.

2. Copy of original country's marriage Certificate

3. Copy Kor Ror 22 from amphur office (not older than six months)

4. Copy wife's Tabien Baan - signedb by wife

5. Copy of wife's identity card - signed by wife

6. Copy of my passport's Biodata page - signed by me

7. Copy of non-Im visa, 90 day entry stamp & TM6 arrival card - signed by me

8. Map to residency

9. Picture of house, family and wedding. Pics in house and outside showing me with family & house number.

10. Copy of work permit.

11. CERTIFIED Copies (x2) of last 3 month's PND 1 & annual PND 91 tax receipts showing minimum annual salary of 600,000 baht, as supplied each month by company's accountants/book-keepers. (Stamped and signed by the tax office).

12. Letter from company confirming employment and minimum 600,000 baht annual salary - signed by director, with company stamp

13. Original (NEWLY MADE) set of company registration papers.

14. 1,900 baht fee

Original Documents: Passport, Work Permit, Marriage Certificate, Kor Ror 22, Wife's Tabien Baan Wife's ID card

Note: Immigration want to interview my wife and a family friend of hers to verify authenticity of the marriage. Family friend has to supply copies of their ID card and Tabien Baan.

I can confirm here that application was required to be made WITHIN the last 30 days of validity of the current entry stamp, and that the application process WOULD take the full 30 days of the "under approval" period.

Copies of everything also required.

Hope this is useful.

If you go down the 777/2551 Clause 2.18 - Married to a Thai, with you having a monthly income, then the annual salary only needs to be 480,000 THB (40,000THB pcm).

In my area (Phuket), Immigration only want the most recent PND 1 for a 2.18 extension, not the last 3x months.

40k a month or 400k in the bank.
