Copyrighting

Featured Replies

Hi when you go to the office to copyright a work, can you use another ID aside from your passport?

I was married and now divorced but have not changed my passport yet and would like to register the work under my maiden name.

I have a valid, NY state driving license.

thank you

Copyright? Are you sure you know what you are talking about? Perhaps your terminology is wrong, hence no replies

To make a copyright recordal at the Department of Intellectual Property you'll need to use your passport.

@Sing - yes. Copyright. I have created something that needs to be copyrighted.

Thank you NewlyMintedThai

A copyright does not have to be registered to be a legal copyright. Registering just simplifies the legal process if need to defend it.

Right, sorry for the confusion - I misread your post.

I have tried to copyright and trademark products in Thailand . . . not even worth the bother, really. Having said that, good luck. :)

I have gotten copyrighted (software) but the university did most of the heavy work and agree, nothing simple about it.
