Some place here I had read that a work permit may be had if the applicant is on a "marriage visa"?

Would there still need to be a sponsorship on a company?

With such a wp could I freelance a few hours teaching legally?

Multiple schools?

Bangkok.

Thanks

A work permit requires an employer, so you would have to start a Thai company (with your wife) in order to get a work permit based on free lance teaching.

There is no work permit allowing you to be employed in general. It is always tied to a specific employer, for a specific function.
