Tourist Visa With 3 Entries From Us

Featured Replies

My wife and I are planning our 8 month trip to Thailand and need help with the visa requirements...

We are leaving the US April 26, 2012 and returning December 16, 2012. We'll be in Washington DC a few days prior to purchase our triple-entry visas at the Thai embassy. So, if I understand correctly, we will have 6 months from the date we buy our visa to use the 3 entries (approx. April 23, 2012 - October 23, 2012) and our visa entries for this trip would occur as follows:

1st entry: April 26, 2012 (expires July 25, 2012 after 60 days + 30 day extension)

2nd entry: July 23, 2012 (expires October 21, 2012 after 60 days + 30 day extension)

3rd entry: October 19, 2012 (expires December 18, 2012 after 60 days)

Am I missing something or does this itinerary look legit and doable? Thanks in advance for taking the time to respond. The help from this forum has been invaluable!

Looks good. That's how it works.

Terry

The important thing to remember is that the third exit/re-entry must be made the day before the "must enter by" date on the VISA, not the permission to stay stamp in your passport. The 6 months starts the day the visa is issued so any days delay in entering Thailand will be lost. But you can extend your last 60 day entry for 30 days (1900 baht) if the need arrises.
