February 26, 201214 yr I have been in talks with Finnair all week and still no confirmation as to whether they will fly my pug to the UK. I am booked to fly Bkk-Helsinki-Manchester but have been informed of some sort of embargo and that all pets must fly to LHR. Okay, I can deal with that and have a pet courier pick them up from LHR and then drive up North. Is anyone aware of which airlines will allow a pug? I have done all the necessary arrangements re vaccinations and am awaiting results from an authorised lab re anti-rabies blood sampling. Anyone???
February 26, 201214 yr Air France will take them as Cargo; but of course they would, being the home of the lap dog I think KLM will as well (same group now I think).
February 27, 201214 yr Air France will take them as Cargo; but of course they would, being the home of the lap dog I think KLM will as well (same group now I think). I think KLM runs a combination aircraft ie front 1/2 pax and freight aft. They often have an animal attendant on board also.
March 1, 201214 yr Yup. Air France take snub-nosed dogs. They took both Shih tzu's and a boxer last year. And after all, pugs are like a mini-boxers, now aren't they?!
March 12, 201214 yr hi there, did you manage to find an airline for your pugs? klm accept snub nosed dogs but only for a limited time only as they are going to ban these breed on flighst soon too. air france, advised me they would not allow snub nosed dogs in december 2011, I will double check this as I would prefer to use this airline finnair - have been ok for me, I emailed them and they told me that you cannot book cargo flights until 14 days before you fly. fingers crossed you find an airline as I am searching too and am heading to newcastle from heathrow
