Broken Electricity Meter

Featured Replies

We noticed 2 months ago that our electric meter was not going round and when they came to read it they couldn’t so put a slip of paper in our post-box. We went down to Pattaya electricity company told them about the problem and signed some form thinking they would come and repair it.

8 weeks later nothing has happened although they are still taking money from our bank account to pay the electricity bill (how they know how much to charge I don’t know!) When you go to their office they are very unhelpful and if you take a ticket there are normally at least 40 people in front of you. Someone told me that here in Thailand you buy your meter so are they expecting us to pay something first before they come and fix it or what? Has anyone had a similar experience or got any idea of what to do please post thanks

Someone with similar problems here, maybe of interest.
