Unfortunately she was probably inexperienced and did not hold an Australian M/bike licence.As for the helmet issue, well I always take my own with me.yes a full face helmet is hot and looks out of place but I know it is a real one, not a plastic basin.

I agree with bob4you.

If you travel in a foreign country, you need to take care of yourself and not depend on the local authorities to prevent accidents if you take risks -- for example, driving around at 3:30 a.m on a motocycle.

That said, RIP for the victim.

But word to the wise for the rest of you.
