Where Can I Get Single/Double/Triple-Entry Tourist Visa?

Featured Replies

Hello,

My current (and first) tourist visa stamp expires beginning of April, I will extend by 30 days. Then once that is up (well, just before) I will go to Poipet to get my second and final stamp of my double-entry tourist visa. Once that has nearly expired I will extend again by 30 days at Chaeng Watthana.

Then, where should I go to get another tourist visa? I would prefer a double-entry tourist visa at the least but a place offering triple-entry tourist visas would be better. Anyone have any experiences of the best/easiest/simplest places to go for this type of visa?

Also, are there any limits as to how many tourist visas you can have in your passport?

I aim to begin university here in Bangkok next year, but need these tourist visas to see me through until then.

Thanks in advance, :)

Ben.

Also, I just read this on ThaiVisa, and wondered if it applies to me once I have got my 30 day extension in Bangkok:

''If you have an extension of stay and would like to travel outside of Thailand for a short period then an re-entry permit will be needed.''

There is a pinned topic on this at the top of the forum:

The extension you are referring to is generally intended for those with a 1yr extension based on retirement or marriage (example) and the re-entry permit keeps that extension alive whilst exiting and returning to the Kingdom.

You still have a lot of time left and visa rules and embassies change their policies all the time so it is hard to say. Laos has been a good choice for a while now for double entry tourist visa's so keep checking this board and the latest reports of getting a visa in the region thread. Worst case scenario you can fly out and in for another 30 days as many times as you can afford or do a few border runs for 15 days.

Phnom Penh, as of three weeks ago, single only.

Wow, talk about planning ahead

You are about 4 months from needing a new TV

You can make plans now based on the available info. here

but a lot can change in 4 months.

Personally, as of right now, I recommend Savannaket Laos

Thanks for your replies everybody. I understand things can change up to the time I need to do the visa run. I'll keep checking back for the latest.

Cheers!!
