Thai Tv Shows For Learning Thai

Featured Replies

Hi,

Are there any good Thai TV shows available online?

I'd like to keep in contact with the language while I'm in the UK.

Also, any good Thai movies you guys can recommend?

There's quite a lot of Thai television on Youtube - Google do check that it's legal, don't they? You'd find a lot of soaps just by searching for ละคร. There are reasonable documentaries dubbed in Thai there as well, but I don't know how well they are connected.

Hey,

How good can you speak Thai? Another great way to stay in touch with the language is via chatting with the locals. There is a website named http://www.italki.com/ that match people who want to learn languages together. You can create a profile and look for someone who wants to speak to you in Thai and English. You'll learn Thai from him/her and he/she will learn English from you. It's a win win deal. I know that there are tons of Thai people who eager to chat to "farang" in either Thai or English. Check it out.

Take care,

Just about all Thai TV shows are available online from sites such as:

but I don't know if they all stream outside of Thailand or not.

I am currently going through a soap drama called รักปาฏิหาริย์ which I like because they have

lots of characters and lots of dialogue.

You can listen to VOA( Voice of America) podcasts in Thai on your smart phone. It helps if you are aware of what's going on in the world to understand the daily half-hour program.

My wife's been watching that in England via Youtube.

Youtube is actually where I get it and download the videos. I've found that if you go to youtube and

search the name of the show you want in Thai, chances are very good that that it will be found.

If anyone is interested in reading along while watching รักปาฏิหาริย์ , the story is here;

The leading lady will say the following fairly exactly on the plane in the first

tape
