Every year after the holidays are over , [Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year] we are repeatedly asked [like the day after] "... You got any turkey left over for your open-faced turkey sandwiches? "

Well I dun ben jus a little lazy this year, but we recently roasted several Butterball Turkeys primarily for our turkey sandwich.

For those of you who may not know, just a quick recap:

A larger than full size, smooth , flat, slick, dinner plate....

A ladle of dark rich tasting gravy spread over the plate bottom

Two large slices of The Pun Pun's tangy, baked in our own ovens, rye bread right into the

center of the spread gravy.... Can you hear it suck up the gravy???

More gravy ladled on to suck down into the top side of the rye...... Sluuurrrpppp

Now we put on a healthy portion of white and dark meat, Butterball Roast Turkey

Ooooohhhhhhhhhh

Next a generous portion of our homemade tangy turkey stuffing

Then over in this left over space, on the side of the plate, a great big Plopp of mashed potatoes

You know with the little lake in the middle......and all covered with D-lushious giblet gravy.

Picture it in your mind now and slowly close your eyes and take a big inhale.......

The above complete as stated is offered regularily for 250 Baht.

We have had, with almost every serving, been told that , " ... Its just too much,,,,, my stomach is stuffed ...... I can't move...... Can I lie down for a little bit..... Gotta hammock ? ,,,So we make this offer to you"

From 12 noon Friday [ 2nd ] Mar., and Sat the 3rd Mar, ..... Or until we run out of Turkey,

Full meal as above stated reduced to 225 baht

Or

Half portion of turkey with full mashed and gravey,,,, 160 baht....

Now remember that TV'er's, who Id themselves as such will also get the usual TV 10% discount, even from the reduced price.

Consider as a TV , Id'd member, you can have the smaller portion, net, for just 144 baht!!

Turkey???? Think about it .... Had any lately....

Just got back from a delicious meal at PunPuns.

I'll vouch for that open-face turkey sandwich. It was really good. And a half order was all I could eat.

You should do this more often.

i had the half portion the same as photo john and it tasted as good as it looks

and was more than enough for me

I do love a big portion of some fresh tender young bird, especially when it`s succulent, hot and juicy.

I’m a breast man myself, but do like to nibble on a piece of leg once in a while and if it`s made into a sandwich, one on top and one on the bottom, that`s even better.

My problem is that for most of the year I’m stuck at home with an old boiler, so I’ll have to get down to the Pun Pun very soon.

For folks new to the meat-lovers' Pun Pun, Dave2's must be a file photo. The white parts of the walls now are coloured about the same as the bottom stripe on the Pun Pun sign - a yellow-gold.

I hesitate to suggest that no greater collection of large portions of delicious 'comfort food' from the U.S.A. for breakfast, lunch, or dinner can be found in Thailand.

For folks new to the meat-lovers' Pun Pun, Dave2's must be a file photo. The white parts of the walls now are coloured about the same as the bottom stripe on the Pun Pun sign - a yellow-gold.

Thanks heaps for the kind words CMX and all the others. Always makes an old bod feel good to hear good things mentioned. But CMX now I am going to have to work all the harder to live up to your nice compliment.

...and to Kool K Kore, re the cranberry sauce..... Have you seen the price of that stuff lately !!!! We would have to double the price of the half portion and that means you get the half portion and pay the full portion price..????? but if you can live with what might be called the Brylcream cranberry sauce, we just might find some for you..... You know what I mean..... "where a little dab L' do ya "
