I'm not exactly a novice but could someone please explain the various posts I see about renewing your visa/12 month renewal?

I have a Non-O visa (Thai wife), issued in the UK and do my 90 day reporting - I've never stayed longer than 12 months as I've always had some reason to return to UK for a short period.

I guess from the comments I read there's something additional that needs doing every year?

I'd be grateful if someone could explain or send a link.

Many thanks.

It's not a renewal of the visa, it's an extension.

You do that at the immigration office for your area. It's 1900 baht for a 12 month extension.

There are requirements that are listed in many topics about this. The main one is that you need to show an income of 40k baht a month, or 400k baht in the bank (seasoned for 2 months).

Marriage certificate, wife's ID and house book, +++. Your wife must go with you to apply.

You can apply for an extension during the last 30 days of your current permission to stay.

TerryH says it all really,

but I'll add this,Its always a good idea to also take some pics of you and the wife around the home and a map showing where you are living.

When you apply you will be given a 30 day "under consideration" stamp whilst the paperwork is sent to Bangkok for approval, you then return after 30 days for the 12 month extension.

Am confused by OP as you do not do any "90 day reporting" with a one year multi entry visa. Must must leave Thailand every 90 days to obtain a new entry but you never have to report to immigration as you do for extensions of stay or 90 day address reporting.
