Bali Hai Marina Hub Benefits Walking Street

PATTAYA:--There will be a new world-class marine transport center in Pattaya, located near Bali Hai Pier, which will accommodate more boats and thus attract more tourists to Pattaya and the adjoining Eastern seaboard region. Now tourists from around the world will be able to arrive at Pattaya by air, land, or sea.

Bali Hai Pier, renowned for numerous concerts and special events, is also used as a marine harbor, especially for passengers to Koh Larn. It will now become a more significant hub for Pattaya. Due to increasing tourist numbers, Pattaya is currently experiencing parking problems for vehicles and a shortage of space to store marine craft. The result: congestion and less accessibility. These problems led Pattaya City officials to come up with a new solution: to build a new parking center and combine it with an international marine transport hub. This brilliant idea was the brainchild of our beloved Pattaya Mayor, Itthipol Kunplome.

This new transport center, which will accommodate boats and vehicles to serve the citizens of Pattaya and their guests, received an approved budget of THB 733 Million. The contractor selected for the project is the PING Joint Venture. Construction began in January 2011 and is expected to be completed in July 2013—for a total of 540 days. The new transport center will accommodate 417 vehicles and 360 marine craft.
