Necklace Snatch involving German Businessman in Sattahip District

SATTAHIP:--A German Businessman reported the theft of a 75,000 Baht gold necklace which was forcibly removed from him close to his home in Sattahip District on Tuesday morning.

Mr. Roland aged 50 reported the necklace snatch at Sattahip Police Station and described how he was intending to travel to a local 7-Eleven Convenience Store and was waiting outside his house for a motorbike taxi to arrive.

A Thai man, aged in his thirties, drove past Mr. Roland, stopped in front of him and proceeded to snatch his gold necklace before driving off at a high rate of speed. Police revealed that due to the high price of gold at this time, similar crimes are becoming more and more popular and they advised Mr. Roland not to wear high value gold necklaces in public any more

why do people still wear these gold necklaces !, if anything they look tacky as hell !, unless you are after a 20 year bar girl

I agree with 'Boater',it's like wearing a sign around your neck saying,'please take me' !!

Nothing wrong with a nice chunky gold necklace ,especially if you have tatoos, cutaway vest, shorts, black socks and sandals ,

the hight of Pattaya chic.Guaranteed to pull a hi-so lady

They look like second hand car dealers.

Chav's n Bling. Oh, it is soooooo cool - not!

stupidity never dies out... showing gold and money and filled wallets is an invitation to every opportunistic mugger... no matter which country you are... but even more in countries with high poverty rates...
