I wonder who foots the bill for all these politicians to go visit the fugitive felon in other countries?

And do they fly economy?

"Fly economy"? R.U.Kidding?

Smooth as Silk.

Thailand might be choke-full of corrupt politicians but only one of them travels the world preaching his absolute innocence, others know when to shut up.

A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.

That's because a lie is bare-faced and truth is bare-assed.

I wonder how many are on freebie Thai tickets, and business class.

If Taksin really is a crook and wasn't just set up ( a very plausible possiblility given all the other crooks in the Thai government), how the heck does his sister get put in charge? Only in the Land of Scams!

I don't believe his sister is in charge. If she was, he wouldn't be flying to Hong Kong to meet with Thaksin, he would be asking her for her advice. Wouldn't you think that PM Yingluck should be losing lot's of face when the people she's supposedly is in charge of, going running to big brother every time they need a decision about this or that?

the obligatory "it's not about Thaksin" preemptively entered

.

And it's only 2 days ago she made the big statement, again, that her brother is not involved in Thai politics or directing the government.

As a special gift for Songkran, he's making it easier for his servants in Parliament to go and visit him.

Thaksin to celebrate Songkran in Laos

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has planned to visit Laos during the Songkran festival on April 13-to-15, Pheu Thai MP Somkid Balthaisong said on Thursday.

"Thaksin has conveyed his message that anyone who misses and wants to see him can meet him in Laos," Somkid said upon his return from a Thaksin meeting in Hong Kong.

He said he talked to Thaksin for about 10 minutes seeking the blessing for his daughter Manthana.

Have always been impressed by Somkid's choice for his profile page photo on Parliament's webpage.

It's from the "Do you know who I am"-pot of tickets.

Seemingly one of the reasons Thai Air is having economical problems too.

If you have money, and once belonged on the world's billionaire list, prison can be very comfortable for you. Even regular people who can afford it get to stay in their own cell and pay for the privilege, in Thai prisons. Thaksin can make his own little secluded millionaire's prisoner pad if he came back and received imprisonment. If he had taken his sentence when it was dished out, he'd be out by now. They'd probably have let him out early on "good behaviour" or something like that, too.

Some of the biggest criminals in the world are those who are the richest. Take your punishment like a man, Thaksin, and come home! :)

Thaksin keeping mum on Bangkok race

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has not drawn a conclusion on the Pheu Thai Party campaign for the position of Bangkok governor, MP Jirayu Huangsub said on Friday.

"There is no conclusion drawn and Thaksin wants to treat the issue as confidential," he said.

Jirayu met Thaksin in Hong Kong earlier this week to discuss the campaign strategy for the gubernatorial race, expected early next year.

Hong Kong... Laos for Songkran.... and now, Cambodia.

A contingent of Pheu Thai Party MP's have flown off to Cambodia to meet Thaksin, who is ostensibly there to visit the ailing father of fellow despot Hun Sen, although he was spotted at a golf and spa resort in Siem Reap.

With him at the resort was the notorious "Mr. Refrigerator"

as well as indicted Red Shirt Leader "Issan Rambo"

Thaksin lawyer and banned from politics for electoral fraud Noppadon said it was "normal" for Pheu Thai MP's to see Thaksin when he visited nearby countries.

Additionally, Pheu Thai Party MP Sunai Jullpongsathon who is Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, said he and other members of the committee might travel to see him while he's in Cambodia.

The complete quote from Thaksin to celebrate Songkran in Laos is:

He said he talked to Thaksin for about 10 minutes seeking the blessing for his daughter Manthana Balthaisong who will run for a local office in the Nong Khai constituency.

Manthana is an aspiring candidate for the position of chairwoman for Nong Khai Provincial Administrative Organisation.

So do these people see Thaksin as some kind of king, one who is involved in politics?
