The US must be the only country in the world that meddles in police investigations. Imagine Thais telling the FBI to go to work.

Imagine the FBI being as incompetent and corrupt as the Thai police and needing to be told to do their job.

Does the FBI need to be told?

Yes a USA citizen was killed abroad,

and FBI is the federal international liaison with other police forces world wide.

It also offers topnotch forensic and logistic support for cross border investigations.

What is it the Thai Police are not or have not done properly in this case? What corruption or incompetence has been hinted at or do you suspect has occurred in this case?

In a letter to Hilary Clinton, Nelson asked the U.S. secretary of state to urge the governments of India and Thailand to work together to catch the killer of Wendy Albano.

When inquiring about the case through the U.S. embassy in New Dehli, Nelson was told that law enforcement in Thailand and India were in contact with each other

Seems to me the Senator is asking for something that he has already confirmed is happening and his request to the state department to have them do what they are already doing is is simply a political move. I'm sure if there was actually something he could do, he would but in this case it seems kind of clear this is all about nothing but making himself look good to his voters in Florida.
