23 year old man, armed and high on drugs causes havoc at village in Sattahip

SATTAHIP:--A 23 year old man, armed with knives and high on drugs, caused havoc at a small village in Sattahip in the early hours of Thursday and threatened to kill anyone who came close to him.

Police were called to the Chernsuk Village and to the house of Khun Boonliem aged 46. She revealed that her son, Khun Chayachit had already caused extensive damage to the family house and two neighboring houses and had injured an elderly foreign resident.

Negotiations with the man to give himself up to the authorities were difficult as he was incoherent and had reportedly just ingested methamphetamine. Eventually, Police Volunteers, armed with sticks, approached the man who was still armed with knives, and managed to detain him. He then broke down and, in front of his father, who is a monk at a local temple, apologized for his actions.
