My gf just received a pkg from switzerland.

It's a 2nd hand iPhone, and some docs.

But DHL is charging the 3.800.- to deliver it.

Various fees and vat itself is around 2.800.- which is way to much for a used iphone 3g, that is actually a gift.

What can we do about this.

I didn't know it was being send via DHL, and would have advised against it.

And i fear it's to late do do anything.

Shouldn't DHL ask if you want to pay that much VAT for something that obviously doesn't have the value.

Sounds fair based on the market value.

Marked value is around the 6.000.- for a second hand iPhone 3g. Far from fair i would say.
