thaibeachlovers
Cleared the area out back of the house a few months ago, so nothing there but bare dirt. Now there is a weed that has grown about 12 feet. Pretty good going in a drought! It's made up of a bare stalk about 6 inches long, with a bunch of leaves sprouting off at each junction between sections, and just lies on the ground.. Sorry, no photo at present. There are also weeds that grow like trees, and are about 6 foot high from nothing a few months ago, but they're not as much of a pest as the ground infesting first weed mentioned. I don't know what they do for water, as been a drought for as long as they've been alive, and only shallow rooted.

thaibeachlovers
They say bamboo is A type of grass.I have heard of it growing a foot in a day. Well, it looks like very thin bamboo, but lying on the ground, instead of growing skyward. I guess I'm not going to get any answers unless I put a photo on here. I did look up "weeds in Thailand", but all I found was multiple posts about marijuana, LOL!

handydog
Is a beach grass. very tollerant to drought and salt. "water" it with glyphosphate. It is doing well because you removed its' competition
