any one advise me on taxi fares from swampy to hua-hin,and fare from don meung to hua-hin,escaping sonkgran,up north i hope.

I did this the other way around (Hotel in Hua Hin to Swampy) back in October, by asking the hotel to phone several taxi companies. I eventually paid 1,500 baht after a lot of haggling. Most wanted 2,000 - 2,500.

Check out the HH forum, there is a taxi service that has been recommended by a few members.....It used to be 2,200 from the meter taxis outside the airport.
