Following an increase in minimum wage in several areas, I am doing project for my school Economic lesson and I need to identify industries in Bangkok that pay minimum wage.

Any ideas which industries pay minimum wage? I really need your help and ideas in which industries people are paid minimum wage?

It is very important for my Economic essay.

Offically all companies and employers must pay as a minimum, the mandated minimum wage within the province they operate in.

While the government has raised the minimum wage in a number of provinces (unfortunately different amounts for different provinces), minimum wage requirements have been in place for many years.

Reality is that all multi national companies, large Thai companies and government agencies adhere to minimum wage requirements. However some small companies / employers / family businesses either pay what they want or pay cash. Sometimes this is offset by bonuses and or other more generous conditions. Sometimes it's just daily hire and daily payment.

OP . . come on. You are student. Part of the challenge of being a student is thinking for yourself and doing research, not simply waiting for others to tell you the answers.

The simple fact is this: your question is illogical. Pretty much every industry in Thailand will have people working in them who are paid minimum wage, while other people in the same industry will earn considerably more.

Construction, manufacturing, catering, tourism, hospitality etc etc will all have people on minimum wage. Even some high-brow professions like finance, law, accounting, will have people in those companies earning minimum wage.
