Why is it that some posters here (they know who they are) feel the need to continually mention that they know "X" amount of the "right sort of Thai" in every post?

Are they that insecure with their own standing here that they have to invoke their (oft imagined) HiSo "Friends" in almost every post?

Most people I know who really do mix in such circles tend to seldom mention it and would never even make an issue out of it let alone use it to try and re-inforce their standing on an anonymous forum.

I asked Tahn Pon that same thing the other night (He is one of the top psychologists at Bumrungrad and a good freind of mine) when we were at the awards dinner and he said that it's very common and you shouldn't worry about it.
